Days after many terrorist attacks claimed the lives of scores of people, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Thursday on a one-day visit aimed at assessing the province’s security and law and order situation.
The prime minister will preside over a high-level discussion on the state of security, law, and order while in the country. Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan will also be in attendance.
The prime minister’s visit takes place in the wake of recent violence in the largest province in the nation, Balochistan, where at least 37 people lost their lives in various terrorist assaults.
