On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the opening of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York among other international leaders.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar were with him.
Arriving in New York late Monday night, the prime minister will also attend a special conference of Arab and Islamic nations that Qatar and the United States are co-hosting.
President Donald Trump of the United States will attend the conference.
