ISLAMABAD: From September 23 to September 27, 2024, in New York, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to take part in the high-level portion of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Senior government officials including Senator Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, will accompany him. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, a spokesman for the Foreign Office, stated during her weekly news briefing on Thursday.
During his speech at the UNGA, Prime Minister Shehbaz will reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to multilateralism and show support for the UN’s role in fostering world peace, security, and prosperity.
He will also stress the significance of resolving long-standing concerns on the UN Security Council’s agenda, such as the Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine crises.
