ISLAMABAD: Rain is expected to start falling across the nation on June 26 (tomorrow), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). This will be a huge comfort for those suffering from the intense heat.
According to the Met Office, there is low pressure in the southern region of Gujarat, India, and on June 26, monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will move into the country’s eastern regions, bringing with them the possibility of rain in several sections of Sindh, including Umarkot, Badin, Thatta, and Karachi.
It further stated that rain is possible for Karachi, the nation’s financial center, between July 2 and July 3.
According to the Met Office’s announcement, rain is expected in some parts of Sindh starting tomorrow and lasting until July 1.
The city has been experiencing extremely high temperatures recently, with highs of 42°C and “feels like” temperatures of 51°C yesterday. This is when PMD’s forecast was released.
In addition, rain is predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other cities between June 27 and July 1.
In the meantime, rain is predicted for Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan between June 26 and June 30.
Between June 28 and July 1, rain is also predicted in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
From June 26 to 28, there is also a risk of rain in a few cities in Balochistan, including Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Barkhan, and Naseerabad.
