Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari paid heartfelt homage to the Pakistan Navy on Monday, praising its professionalism, bravery, and historic achievements from Operation Somnath in 1965 to its contemporary multifaceted role in defending maritime borders, fostering regional peace, and bolstering the nation’s maritime industry.
The president said in his message on September 8, which is Navy Day, that the Pakistan Navy would continue to protect the nation’s maritime borders and support regional peace and stability with the same dedication, bravery, and quality that have always characterized it.
He expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Pakistan Navy’s men and women, who he claimed represented the country.
