Clubs convened on Monday, but no “New Deal” agreement was reached.
Clubs are accused of “parking the bus” by Dame Caroline Dinenage, chair of the Culture, Media, and Sport committee.
Premier League teams were recently informed that if they could not come to an agreement with the EFL about funding, the EFL would force one upon them.
“The longer this deadlock goes on, the more the stated commitment from Premier League clubs to striking a deal with the rest of the pyramid looks like nothing more than an empty promise,” observed Dinenage.
