As part of his 10-day official visit to China, President Asif Ali Zardari landed in Chengdu on Friday. He will meet with Chinese officials to discuss bilateral issues, such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to a statement released by the President’s Secretariat, Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and Vice Governor of Sichuan Province Huang Ruixue welcomed him warmly upon his arrival at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
Both Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, and Khalil Hashmi, the ambassador of Pakistan to China, attended the event.
