ISLAMABAD According to sources who spoke to Geo News on Tuesday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has been assigned by President Asif Ali Zardari to mediate a settlement between the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its ally, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

They also said that Naqvi will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tomorrow (Wednesday) and ask the premier to help ease tensions between the two parties.

When PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf left the National Assembly session a day earlier, claiming that his party would not take part in the proceedings until they were given an explanation over the Punjab ministers’ comments on Sindh, the breach between the PML-N and PPP grew even more pronounced.

utilizing the split between the PML-N and PPP as a chance.
