The application was submitted a few days after the NEPRA announced an increase in electricity rates of Rs4.92 per unit.
This time, the CPPA is requesting a rise in fuel price adjustment costs for bills due in March 2024 of Rs2.94 per unit.
After a hearing on the application, the NEPRA will schedule a time to make a determination about the raise.
On April 8, the NEPRA announced a rise in fuel adjustments of Rs4.92 per unit per month. The electricity regulating authority increased the February rate, which would be deducted from customers’ bills in April 2024.
