Prince William is said to be pushing for his uncle, Prince Andrew, to be permanently removed from the royal family’s public orbit as the monarchy moves toward a more modern and trusted future.
According to royal experts, William sees Andrew as a lasting liability at a time when the royal family is working to rebuild public confidence.
The concern, insiders say, is not only about past controversies but also about public trust. Andrew’s presence continues to raise questions that William would rather put firmly behind the monarchy. By drawing a clear line, the Prince of Wales signals that accountability matters, even within the royal family.
Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for comment. Buckingham Palace has previously stated that it does not speak on Andrew’s behalf, as he is no longer a working royal.
Speculation about Andrew’s future intensified after royal biographer Robert Jobson suggested that exile abroad remains a real possibility.
Jobson also pointed to historical precedent. According to Jobson, several disgraced public figures have relocated to the Middle East, where privacy and discretion are more attainable.
Andrew’s past business dealings in Bahrain and his existing connections in Abu Dhabi make the region a plausible destination. Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner confirmed that these ties could ease a move, should Andrew choose to leave the United Kingdom.
However, Turner cautioned that relocating would not guarantee a quiet life. While the Middle East may offer distance from British media, Andrew’s reputation would still follow him.
