According to early reports, filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is planning to recreate the popularity of the first installment with Dune’s sequel.
The upcoming picture, which was initially supposed to be released in November, will continue the plot of the first part, in which star actor Timothée Chalament’s Paul Atreides links up with the Fremen to seek justice for his family’s destruction.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Warner Bros. and Legendary pushed back the release date by several months.
One critic wrote of the picture, “I was blown away by #DunePartTwo. I found it more immersive, physical, and emotional than Part One. The clarity, heaviness, and size of the action are astounding.”
