On Tuesday, Utah prosecutors announced new information about their case, including text conversations in which the accused murderer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk allegedly privately confessed to the shooting killing, and promised to pursue the death penalty for him.
Transcripts of conversations attributed to the suspect in court documents filed by prosecutors show that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson said, “I had enough of his hatred,” in response to a question about why he had committed the murder.
The single rifle shot that penetrated Kirk’s neck last Wednesday on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem, some 40 miles (65 km) south of Salt Lake City, is allegedly fired by him from a rooftop.
