PESHAWAR: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has called a meeting of Atif Khan and Junaid Akbar at Adiala jail, angered by rumors of a rift and disagreements amongst the party leadership.
In an interview with News on Sunday, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Advisor, acknowledged the situation and mentioned that the PTI founder, who is currently incarcerated, has voiced concerns over the “impression” of grouping inside the party.
Saif’s confirmation comes amid internal unrest within the erstwhile ruling party following the resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Works and Communication Shakeel Ahmad Khan due to allegations of corruption and poor leadership by the province’s CM, Ali Amin Gandapur.
