ISLAMABAD Barrister Gohar Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed Friday his expectation that Imran Khan, the party’s founder, would receive legal relief, stating that significant charges against him will no longer be under the purview of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Following the Supreme Court’s ruling to hear intra-court appeals against the September 15, 2023, majority ruling that invalidated the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) revisions, Gohar made these remarks.
Following the ruling, the chairman told News that the cases of Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust were no longer under the purview of the anti-graft organization. The £190 million lawsuit should be resolved on the basis of merit, he continued.
