PTI Central General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan has harshly criticized the PML-N-led government for skyrocketing inflation, claiming that they are embezzling people’s hard-earned money like pickpockets.
Ayub, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, made the following statement at a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday: “[Prime Minister] Sehehbaz Sharif is siphoning off money from people’s pocket.”
He declared, “Unemployment and inflation are on the rise in the country,” and he attacked the administration for its “failure” to give the people impacted by inflation urgent help.
The PTI leader also criticized the Punjab government led by Maryam Nawaz in his harsh press conference, claiming that she did not now support the popular move to lower the price of roti (flat bread baked in a tandoor) to Rs16.A day earlier, in response to nanbais’ worries, the Punjab government lowered the price of roti to Rs16 and naan to Rs20 throughout the province as part of its attempts to help those affected by inflation. They believe that if they receive a subsidy, they are prepared to sell roti at the government price.
