ISLAMABAD The non-objection certificate (NOC) that was previously granted to the Imran Khan-founded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been revoked, but the party has announced that it will host jalsa in the federal capital tomorrow, Thursday.

According to a statement from PTI Islamabad President Amir Mughal, “we haven’t cancelled the jalsa,” even though the district government had canceled the notification. “We have the constitutional and legal right to engage in peaceful political struggle.”

According to an official statement, the district administration canceled the NOC that was given to PTI based on the “report of district intelligence committee.”

Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa, the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, presided over the meeting when the decision was made. The NOC, which was given by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, was also reviewed in the session.

Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad, spoke during the meeting.
