ISLAMABAD Regarding the statement on Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will stage a rally in the nation’s capital, Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar expressed doubt that the opposition party would obtain authorization to do so.
The information minister stated, “Considering their track record, I don’t think they will be permitted to rally in Islamabad,” in an interview with the Geo News show “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath”.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, stated on Sunday that PTI founder Imran Khan “decided” to hold a public rally in the federal capital on August 22 after a protracted struggle to hold a powershow in Islamabad.
Saif had given assurances that the group would make an effort to abide by the law.
