Food adulteration is now a non-bailable offense under the recently modified rules, according to the Punjab Food Authority (PFA).
Meeting chairman and decision-maker Asim Javed of the Punjab Food Authority presided over the proceedings.
All food products must have a Halal certificate, according to Asim Javed, who is also the Punjab Halal Development Agency’s Registrar.
Every food item must now have a Halal certificate, with the Halal mark visibly attached to the final product, in accordance with the updated laws. If you do not comply, you will be subject to heavy penalties under Article 17, which includes the closing of your business for up to six months if you violate it repeatedly.
The Punjab government’s recommendations for setting up the Punjab Halal Development Agency, which will further guarantee that these regulations are followed, were made by Asim Javed.
