A plan to waive registration and semester fees for students enrolled in public institutions and universities in flood-affected districts is being considered by the Punjab government.
The program’s goal is to lessen the financial strain on the families who were most affected by the natural disaster.
A proposal to waive fees
Rana Sikandar Hayat, the Punjab Education Minister, attested to having formally presented Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz with the fee alleviation plan. For students enrolled in government colleges and universities throughout the flood-affected areas, the proposal includes a full waiver of registration and semester costs.
Rana Sikandar emphasized that the action will directly help people who are still recovering from the tragic floods, saying, “The final decision will be made after the chief minister of Punjab’s approval.”
