BEIJING: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated Moscow’s intention to improve ties with Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of broadening collaboration in a number of areas.
He made this point to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a private meeting held in Beijing during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference.
Speaking at the event, President Putin stated that Russia and Pakistan have a great relationship and that he looks forward to further enhancing their relationship.
He lamented the losses brought on by recent floods and pointed out that Pakistan is currently experiencing a natural disaster.
Speaking about his opinions, President Putin stated that they had met in Astana around a year ago on the sidelines of the SCO.
