Qatar has vehemently refuted a White House allegation that it was alerted before Israel attacked Hamas negotiators in its capital, claiming that Washington’s contact was received only after the explosions had started.
The administration of US President Donald Trump informed Qatari officials before to the Israeli strike in Doha, the White House said Tuesday. According to local police, the strike killed a Qatari security officer and five Hamas members in a residential section of the city.
Although Israel struck Hamas militants “unfortunately located in Doha,” White House spokesman Karoline Leavitt emphasized that unilateral bombing within Qatar “does not advance Israel or America’s goals.”
