India defeated the Green Shirts by 88 runs in Colombo on Sunday, causing Pakistan’s women’s cricket team to lose for the second time in a row at the ongoing Women’s World Cup 2025.
For the first time in One-Day International (ODI) history, the national team bowled first and dismissed India for 247.
Pakistan was bowled out for 159 in 43 overs, though, as their batting lineup struggled in the chase.
Like the men’s team on the big stage, the Green Shirts were criticized by the fans for their failure against the bitter rivals.
According to a distraught supporter, the women’s cricket squad was inferior than the men’s team.
