Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, was present at a reception given by US President Joe Biden in honor of the heads of state attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.
PM Shehbaz and President Biden met at the reception. The two leaders sent each other well wishes.
Other nations’ heads of state also showed up for the meal.
The premier addressed X and stated: “My brief meeting with US President Joe Biden @POTUS and First Lady Jill Biden during the President’s reception in New York was most warm and cordial.”
“We reaffirmed our common desire to enhance cooperation in key areas including trade, investment, technology, & climate action,” he said.
Premier Shehbaz and President Biden have met twice; the first time was at a reception that President Biden threw for the international leaders attending the 77th United Nations General Assembly in 2022.
