The PDMA claims that there has been a noticeable decrease in river flow throughout Punjab. Previously contributing to growing water levels, the rains have also decreased in the upper catchment areas.
The Sutlej River’s water flow is measured at 182,000 cusecs in Ganda Singhwala. The flow in the Chenab River has grown to 94,000 cusecs at Head Qadirabad, 92,000 cusecs at Khanki Headworks, and 50,000 cusecs at Marala.
