Pakistan’s top-order batsman Babar Azam, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan will be ready for the Champions One-Day Cup challenge, which will take place at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on September 12 (Thursday).
Details indicate that this is the first time the Champions One-Day Cup would be played on the Pakistani domestic cricket circuit after the Green Shirts’ disastrous performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and their inadequacies against Bangladesh in the red-ball format on home soil.
There will be 14 games in the tournament, and the five teams competing will be trying to win the trophy by playing with all of their hearts.
