According to rescue officials, a Russian glide bomb strike on two civilian busses in the eastern front line city of Kramatorsk has killed at least thirty persons.
According to authorities, three persons were also slain in the Kramatorsk community’s village of Bilenke.
Vadym Filashkin, the regional governor of Donetsk, reported that another eighteen persons were injured and accused Russia of targeting passenger busses in an effort to murder as many civilians as possible.

Russian Strike Kills Civilians in Kramatorsk
As part of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s claim to the whole Ukrainian industrial area of Donbas, Moscow is attempting to take Kramatorsk and neighboring Slovyansk as part of a so-called fortress belt.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, declared, “This strike will not go without our response.”
He stated in a Telegram post: “The world must respond to Russia’s attempt to eradicate all life in Donbas. React brutally, just as the Russians deserve given all the fatalities they have inflicted.
Local prosecutors shared photos of the bus’s flaming metal shell and debris.
Pryluky Strike Kills 22, Including Children
By August of this year, more people have died in Ukraine than in all of 2025, according to the UN.
Twenty-two people, including five children, were murdered in a single attack that demolished a five-story apartment building in Pryluky, east of Kyiv, early on Wednesday. Three of the kids were just a year old.
Ed Miliband, the foreign secretary of the United Kingdom, claimed that the attack demonstrated Putin’s “evil intent and evil strategy” after visiting the location of the Russian strike in Pryluky alongside Zelensky.
“More sanctions on Russia, on Putin’s war machine, on the shadow fleet,” he declared.
Kramatorsk Attack Triggers Civilian Evacuation
He said that all public transportation had been ordered to cease due to the severe decline in security in the two nearby cities. He stated that “we have no right to risk the lives of passengers and drivers” and that civilian safety was of utmost importance.
Kramatorsk Faces Intensifying Russian Attacks
Kramatorsk served as the Ukrainian military’s logistical and supply center throughout the majority of the conflict, but as Russian forces advance eastward, it is now the target of nearly daily attacks.
Specifically, glide bombs have been fired against Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. In order to glide toward their target instead of just falling, the bombs are equipped with winglets.
In recent weeks, Russia has been conducting frequent airstrikes on Kyiv, the country’s capital, with sirens sounding almost constantly.
The most recent Russian strike on the city resulted in four fatalities and two injuries, according to Kyiv police on Thursday.
The assaults are causing businesses to close, public transportation to be disrupted, and schoolchildren to be forced out of class and into underground shelters.
Moscow’s attacks on Ukraine’s vital infrastructure, especially its electrical grid, have already resulted in power shortages and are even having an impact on the country’s water supply. The capital’s local water officials issued a warning on Thursday that power outages were causing pressure to plummet over the city’s right bank.
Ukraine Seeks More Air Defence Amid Strikes
Zelensky added that Ukraine’s allies must take “concrete action through new defense packages for the protection of Ukraine” and expressed his sympathies to the families and loved ones impacted by the most recent attack.
Families in Kyiv fled to metro stations in response to the Ukrainian leader’s warning this week about intelligence indicating intentions for a significant Russian assault ahead of the Pryluky offensive.
For present, one of the only defenses available to Ukrainians is such a warning.
Ukraine has limited chance of stopping incoming Russian ballistics since interceptor missiles are few worldwide.
Ukraine Seeks Stronger Air Defence Support
The severity of upcoming Russian strikes and the assistance Ukraine gets from its foreign allies will have a significant impact on the situation.
Cities and frontline towns in Ukraine are under more strain as a result of recent strikes.
