After receiving a duck in their Super Fours match against Bangladesh in the T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, Pakistan’s batsman Saim Ayub moved up on an uncomfortable record list, surpassing former skipper Shahid Afridi.
It was the left-hander’s fourth three-ball duck in the current continental event.
In Pakistan’s three group-stage matches against Oman, India, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the 24-year-old scored ducks in each of those games.
On the fourth delivery of the second over, Mahedi Hasan hit a flighted delivery straight into the hands of Rishad Hossain at mid-on, dismissing Ayub.
He surpassed former skipper and standout all-rounder Shahid Afridi with his eighth duck in T20Is.
