The 32-year-old Salisbury and the seasoned American Ram formed one of the most prosperous combinations when they began playing together six years ago, rising to the top of the international rankings.
In their second season together, the duo claimed their first major championship at the 2020 Australian Open.
They saw even more success in 2021, 2022, and 2023 in the US Open, when they won three straight championships.
“Joe and I had some amazing wins, some epic matches and moments, and some gut-wrenching losses,” Ram, who is 40 years old, stated.
The players’ reasons for ending their collaboration have not been disclosed in public.
The duo advanced to the Montreal Masters final, an ATP 1000 event, in August after winning an ATP 250 championship in Adelaide to start the 2024 season.
However, they were unable to increase their collection of trophies and failed to advance past the quarterfinals in any of the four Grand Slam tournaments this year.
This season, the two are rated as the eleventh-best team in the world.
As three-time reigning champions, they were defeated in the third round of the US Open, their last competition as a team.
