LAHORE: Salman Ali Agha’s poor performance during the recent T20 Asia Cup 2025 has prompted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selectors to start talking about his future as T20I captain, sources informed Geo News on Tuesday.
In addition to criticism for his batting performance during the tournament, the 31-year-old’s leadership abilities have come under increasing scrutiny.
In seven games at the most recent continental tournament, Agha was able to score 72 runs at an average of 12 and a strike rate of 80.
The Pakistan captain also came under fire from critics for making poor decisions in crucial matches during the regional championship and losing his wicket.
Prior to the T20 World Cup, national selectors were reportedly thinking of replacing Agha as captain.
