ISLAMABAD: Hasan Zahid’s physical remand in the Samiya Hijab abduction and threats case has been extended for an additional three days by an Islamabad district and sessions court.
After completing his original five-day physical remand, the suspect was brought before Duty Magistrate Azhar Nadeem.
Throughout the hearings, the defense attorney contended that the court ought to examine the prior remand order first and requested that the police provide an explanation of the investigations that had been conducted during that time.
The transaction history between Zahid and social media star Samiya, together with a video statement from the woman’s parents, were shown to the court. Along with presenting their engagement photos, the defense attorney told the court that the two were engaged.
