Under Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi government allowed anyone with a variety of visas to do Umrah while they were in the kingdom.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, “anyone with a visa of any kind may perform Umrah while they are in the kingdom.”
According to the Ministry, there are several different kinds of visas that allow people to travel to Makkah to do Umrah, such as electronic tourist visas, transit or stopover visas, job permits, and visas for family and personal visits.
“The initiative reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to facilitating the arrival of Muslims from across the globe, enabling them to perform their religious duties with comfort and peace of mind,” the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah continued.
