It was lately when Scarlett Johansson opened up about her relationship with her grandmother.
June Squibb’s poignant drama Eleanor the Great marks the Black Widow actress’s directorial debut.
The narrative centers on Eleanor, a 94-year-old Floridian who moves to Manhattan following the death of her best friend and develops an unexpected friendship with Nina, portrayed by Erin Kellyman, a journalism-loving college student. On Friday, September 26, the movie opens in theaters.
Johansson disclosed in a recent conversation that her own bond with her grandma Dorothy was the reason she was captivated to the story’s intergenerational kinship.
“I found a lot of things in the story to be both intriguing and unexpected,” Johansson said.
