Unexpected information regarding the cast members of Eleanor the Great has been made public by Scarlett Johansson.
The Black Widow actress disclosed that she used actual Holocaust survivors in her first directing role in an interview with People.
“Whether or not we would cast actual survivors was never really a concern. The 40-year-old actress stated, “It was more about how we can find people who would want to participate, could participate.”
She went on to recall her experience looking for actual survivors, saying, “So, we got really lucky.” Whenever we found someone who could take part, we thought, ‘Yes, we have another survivor.’
