The 34-year-old, who underwent neck surgery and missed more than a year of action prior to this year’s Six Nations, was a star player when the Red Roses defeated Canada in the World Cup ten years ago.
Nevertheless, Scarratt lost to New Zealand in the finals in 2010, 2017, and 2022.
“I hope there will be a lot of hype, fans, and exposure for this World Cup,” Scarratt remarked.
“On a personal level, that would undoubtedly be awesome, but I’m not giving it much thought.
“It would be good to reach that one and give it a little tip.”
John Mitchell’s team has two warm-up matches before their attempt to defend their WXV1 title in Canada this autumn. The first is a warm-up against France on September 7 at Kingsholm, and the second is a test match against New Zealand on September 14 at the newly dubbed ‘Allianz Stadium’.
It’s also unclear what role Scarratt will play if chosen after outside center Meg Jones suffered an ankle injury.
Scarratt played most of her rugby at outside center, but England head coach Mitchell switched her to inside centre for the Six Nations. However, Jones’ injury may force Scarratt to go back to the 13 shirt.
