The safety and welfare of Pakistani nationals on board the flotilla continue to be the government’s first priority, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan.
Details reveal that Pakistan has vehemently denounced the Israeli move to stop the Global Sumud Flotilla from moving forward, claiming that it violates international law. The flotilla was described by the MoFA as a humanitarian mission and a representation of moral resolve and international unity. He restated Pakistan’s resolve to guarantee their safety and safe return.
The spokeswoman for the MoFA noted that on September 16, Pakistan and fifteen other nations released a joint statement voicing concerns about the flotilla’s security. According to him, Pakistan is actively working with its foreign allies to obtain the captives’ release.
