Following a cyberattack that resulted in the cancellation of operations and the redirection of emergency patients to another location, major hospitals in London have reported a critical issue.
It is applicable to hospitals that have cooperated with pathology services supplier Synnovis.
Affected hospitals include King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’, which includes the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the Royal Brompton, as well as primary care services.
The incident has affected test results and blood transfusions in particular, having a “major impact” on the provision of services.

While the hospitals determine what work can be done safely, certain surgeries have been canceled or diverted to other NHS providers.

A representative at King’s College Hospital attested to the attack’s impact.
The event is believed to have happened.

The Health Service Journal (HSJ) claims that the system has been the target of a ransomware attack, citing many high-level sources.
Access to pathology reports, according to one, may take “weeks, not days.”
There are rumors that hospitals’ emergency and urgent care departments may suffer since they might not have access to fast blood test results.
“Return home and bide your time.”
Oliver Dowson, a 70-year-old patient, was ready for surgery at Royal Brompton starting at 6:00. At approximately 12:30, a surgeon informed him that the procedure would not proceed.
