Shakeel Siddiqui, a well-known comedian and actor, has voiced his disapproval of the family vlogging trend in Pakistan, arguing that moms and sisters shouldn’t be featured on social media for the sake of creating content.
Siddiqui, who recently made an appearance on Ahmed Butt’s podcast, claimed that although social media is a potent medium, it has mostly been used as a propaganda weapon in Pakistan.
“Vlogging by family members has gone too far. “Mothers and sisters are being shown needlessly in the name of entertainment,” he said.
Family vlogs raise concerns
While it may be fine to show a mother cooking in the kitchen, the comedian emphasized that a lot of the stuff in family vlogs today crosses lines and gives kids the wrong impression.
