According to reports, Shakira and her ex-partner Gerard Pique are implementing extra safety precautions to shield their two kids from a suspected stalker.
The Columbian singer is said to have exhaled after locking up her stalker, Daniel John Valtier, earlier this month.
Security personnel detained the stalker, who claimed to be Shakira’s spouse, outside her Miami Beach home, according to Billboard.
According to recent online rumors, the football player Gerard Pique and the La La La singer have teamed up for their children’s safety.
The former couple is reportedly concerned that the stalker could be freed quickly if they pay the bail money, according to a recent Nation World News report.
According to the findings of the Spanish daily Vamos a Ver, an insider close to the couple revealed, “The problem is not over, because he is in prison, but the trial has not yet taken place and he has a bail of 150,000 euros, of which he must pay only 10%.”
As a result, the 46-year-old singer is said to have requested that her Miami home be monitored around-the-clock by concerned authorities.
Furthermore, the duo has suggested that the best course of action would be to either permanently sell the house or increase the number of security guards.
For those who don’t know, Shakira and her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique have two sons, Milan and Sasha.
