Red-ball captain Shan Masood was chastised by Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad on Tuesday for his failures in the format against Bangladesh.
Shehzad shared his opinions on his YouTube channel, writing: “Many individuals have continued to speak well of Shan Masood over the years. Every time Shan Masood (the team) was benched or didn’t have many opportunities, we heard a lot.
“[Shan Masood] used to bemoan the lack of opportunities he had with the national team,” Shehzad continued.
Shehzad brought up Masood’s record as a player since 2020, stating, “Shan Masood has only amassed three fifties in the red-ball format since 2020.” Considering that he [Shan Masood] has played in a lot of matches since 2020, this is a pretty average record.
