Memon, who was speaking only to television, declared: “The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is ready to hold talks with the establishment but not with the politicians.”
With a sarcastic remark, he said, “It would have been good if the PTI respected Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai.”
“The information that has emerged from the Adiala jail is very different. We, the Pakistan Peoples Party, had allowed all political parties, including the PTI, to have negotiations after the general elections. However, the PTI was the one that objected to the talks,” he insisted.
- The PTI should have discussions with everyone, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), according to remarks made earlier today by former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry.
- Speaking to the media outside Rawalpindi’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Chaudhry stated: “Everyone can see the speech Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave yesterday. If Fazlur Rehman and the PTI band together, it will be hard for the incumbent to survive.”
- “In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the PTI are standing together right now. We desire an end to the political impasse,” he continued.
- PTI should speak with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and everyone else: Fawad Chaudhry –
