On the fringes of the 79th UNGA session in New York, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a meeting with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
The two presidents decided to deepen their bilateral relationship even more, especially in the fields of investment and commerce.
PM Sharif gave his British colleague an update on Pakistan’s economic status during the meeting and the government’s initiatives to promote economic expansion. He emphasized the most current tax reforms that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has put into place with the goal of broadening the nation’s revenue base.
The difficulties Pakistan is facing as a result of climate change were also discussed. The prime minister outlined the detrimental consequences of climate change on the nation and urged international cooperation to solve these urgent problems.
