Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), has stated that he wants a consensus-based approach to constitutional modifications and has criticized the government’s approach, saying it is motivated more by self-interest than by necessity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has only asked for their assistance, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in a meeting with top journalists in Islamabad. However, the JUI-F thinks that any delay should be motivated by true need rather than political expediency. He restated the party’s position in favor of forming an election reform panel.
Additionally, he declared his support for the Constitutional Court.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman asserted that armed organizations rule the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and condemned the way the government was managing the situation in these areas.
