KARACHI: In the first seven months of this year, there has been a roughly 135% rise in dengue cases in Sindh when compared to 2023.
The Sindh Health Department said in a report published on Friday that 1,167 instances of dengue fever have been documented in Sindh so far this year, with 1,022 of those cases being found in Karachi alone.
According to information released by the health department, 1,034 dengue cases were recorded in Sindh in the first seven months of 2024 compared to 440 instances in the same period previous year.
The department provided information on the instances this year, stating that 83 cases of dengue were reported from Hyderabad, 34 from Mirpurkhas, and 12 from Sukkur.
Eight dengue cases have been reported in Larkana this year.
