The film “Speed” is commemorating its 30th birthday.
The movie centers on Jack Tavern (Keaunu Reeves), an bomb disposal officer, as he works against time to defuse a bomb that an extortionist bomber who was previously believed to be dead installed on a bus.
While on his assignment, Tavern befriends Annie (Sandra Bullock), a woman who plays a crucial role in keeping the other passengers on the bus safe. The two quickly grow fond of one another. With a $30 million budget, the movie made $350.4 million worldwide, making it a huge success.
