ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, astronomy enthusiasts gathered to well-known viewing locations to catch the celestial event as the first supermoon of 2025 brightened the night sky above Pakistan.
The incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST), hours after the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) clarified reports in the foreign media that the supermoon had ascended the day before.
According to a Suparco official, the spectacle appeared brighter one night earlier due to a timing overlap.
