Tara Reid was recently hospitalized following an incident at a Chicago hotel bar, raising concerns about possible drugging. Authorities have now provided an update on the ongoing investigation.
The Rosemont Public Safety Department stated that while surveillance footage confirms Reid was at the bar, there is no evidence showing anyone tampering with or adding anything to her drink. Police noted that bartenders covering her glass when she stepped away was standard procedure.
Officials are still awaiting hospital records to determine if chemical testing was conducted and to confirm whether Reid was indeed drugged. Police emphasized that they cannot verify the claims without these medical results.
“We are working with Tara Reid to obtain her hospital records, which she has also not received yet,” said authorities. “Pending those results or any new information, detectives will continue to follow up on leads.”
Currently, no criminal activity has been identified, and the investigation does not involve questioning any individuals.
However, Reid has maintained that she was incapacitated for more than eight hours after consuming a single drink. She described the experience as terrifying, saying, “Bottom line is no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink. Last thing I remember is having one drink and waking up in the hospital the next day without remembering anything.”
The actress’s ordeal continues to draw public attention, highlighting the importance of safety and awareness in nightlife settings.
