Taylor Swift Adds Four New Songs
Swift originally unveiled “Patient Zero” before releasing the entire Encore project. She later revealed that the single will be part of a four-song extension to The Life of a Showgirl.
The other additions include “Cleveland,”Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” The four tracks appear as tracks 13-16 on the extended CD.
The release provides fans with fresh material without replacing the original 12-song CD.
How The Encore Songs Came Together
Swift said that the new tracks stemmed from a trip to Sweden with Max Martin and Shellback. The team came there to commemorate the success of The Life of a Showgirl.
Instead of simply rejoicing, they went back to the studio and began writing. Swift characterized the tracks as being inspired by her enthusiasm and appreciation for the success of her last album.
Martin and Shellback previously collaborated with Swift on a number of big projects. Their previous collaboration before The Life of a Showgirl was during the Reputation period.
The Four New Tracks
Patient Zero
“Patient Zero” serves as the lead single from The Encore. The song arrived alongside the expanded album and quickly became one of the main talking points surrounding the release.
Swift later presented the song’s music video at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell appear in the video.
Cleveland!
“Cleveland!” is another new addition to the album. The title has attracted attention because of its connection to Cleveland, Ohio, which is also associated with Swift’s husband, NFL player Travis Kelce.
However, interpretations of the song’s meaning come largely from listeners and media analysis. Swift has not publicly confirmed every theory about the track.
Pink Clouding
“Pink Clouding” is the third new song on The Encore. Like the other additions, it was created with Martin and Shellback during Swift’s songwriting sessions in Sweden.
Fans have already offered different interpretations of the song, but those theories should be separated from Swift’s confirmed statements about the project.
Babylon
“Babylon” completes the four song expansion. The track adds another style and subject to the new material.
Several publications have offered interpretations of its themes. Those interpretations are analysis rather than confirmed explanations from Swift.
