The bread chain stated in a statement that it anticipates “the issue to be fully resolved shortly”.
It continued: “We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to our customers.”
Early on Wednesday morning, Greggs announced that it was “working to resolve this as soon as possible” following problems that closed stores and prevented them from taking orders.
Local branches were either closed or severely impacted, according to users on the news across the nation. Some stores even requested that customers complete orders via their mobile devices.
It comes after “technical issues” over the weekend disrupted Sainsbury’s online delivery services and in-store contactless payment systems, causing havoc for customers.
Tesco also canceled a few online orders due to technical difficulties.
McDonald’s customers were turned away from locations last week due to significant IT issues that the fast food business was also experiencing, particularly in the UK.
