KALAT: According to authorities, a gun attack in Kalat on Monday claimed the lives of at least ten persons, including members of the Balochistan Levies and police.
Five civilians, four Levies employees, and a police sub-inspector were among the slain in the event, according to Kalat Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dostin Dashti.
After the gun attack, he added, the suspects left the neighborhood, and police started clearing the area.
According to the police, “an exchange of fire between police and armed men on Kalat’s national highway and city continued since last night.”
Aftab Ahmed, the Kalat Assistant Commissioner, and a Levies man were also hurt in the firing.
According to Levies authorities, the injured security guard was admitted to a hospital.
