RAWALPINDI: During an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan District on the night of March 17 and 18, security forces killed at least eight terrorists, including the terrorist commander who orchestrated the Mir Ali attack, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement released on Monday.
According to the military’s propaganda wing, the operation was conducted in response to reports of terrorist activity.
According to the ISPR, at least eight terrorists were “sent to hell” during the operation, including a high-value target terrorist commander, Sehra alias Anan.
The commander, according to the army’s media wing, was involved in coordinating the terrorist attack on a security forces position in Mir Ali on March 16 and was “highly sought by the law enforcement agencies”.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as the Security Forces of Pakistan remain determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” according to a statement issued by the ISPR.
On Saturday, at least seven Pakistan Army troops embraced, including a lieutenant colonel and captain.
